Orients the costing staff with the overall finance & accounting strategy, finance & accounting objectives and policies and procedures Prioritizes, coordinates, and allocates work assignments to staff, and resolves day-to-day staffing problems and issues Conducts monthly progress meetings with the costing staff to discuss progress and status and identify issues, obstacles and potential risks in the department department Directs the administration of the company’s cost allocation and the annual preparation of the costing in coordination with the budgeting Monitors the company’s actual expenses in coordination with other departments and ensure its distribution among the costing centers Reviews and approves the compliance of all expenses breakdown against total expenses in coordination with the accounting departments Monitors the company’s workshops’ input and output to evaluate its production and prepares its periodical reports. Recommends the forecasted cost and the net profit of the company in coordination with the budgeting department based on the company strategic plan Conducts special cost studies for use in setting selling prices and establishes prices for inventory products Establishes and maintains appropriate systems for measuring the effectiveness of all budgeting function
Qualifications • University degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience. • Approximately 7 - 10 years of related experience including 3 to 6 years’ related experience in Cost Accounting. • Professional certificates is preferred. • Ability to direct and control all accounting activities associated with costs of distributing the company’s products including variable and period costs, standard costs and valuation of inventories. • Must be analytically minded and accurate with figures and think logically and systematically. • Excellent judgment, tact, and decision-making ability. • Exceptional management, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
