Job description We, the HR team, are responsible for designing and executing the appropriate HR policies and procedures that allow our startup to attract and retain the best talents and thus guarantee its stable and fast track growth. More specifically, the HR Manager will: - Prepare and administer monthly payroll - Administer employee benefits programs in coordination with personnel manager - Assist managers in designing and preparing team evaluation forms and criteria - Update company’s salary bands on annual basis based on the latest market salary survey - Running bi-annual appraisal rounds - Prepare monthly hiring plan and budget in coordination with department heads - Draft HR policies as needed - Manage the relationship with social insurance and labor offices - Coordinate with Jumia’s central HR team in Paris on the needed steps for ERP implementation - Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations and employee relations - Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals and absenteeism rates
Qualifications Job qualifications - Previous HR team management experience is required - Good knowledge of Microsoft excel - Strong initiative-taking - Humble attitude - Ability to work closely within and across teams - Flexibility to learn, adapt, and change quickly and constantly - Entrepreneurial mindset - Ability to balance long-term, strategic thinking with day-to-day, tactical execution - Passion for e-commerce and online business We work hard, and we love what we do.
