Construction & Industrial HSE manager generally works in either construction site or Industrial environment. Within an Industrial environment, He Manages organizations safety programs to protect Employees and the company against harm, and maintain safe working conditions. Formulate and suggest work safety standards, and enforce procedures. Risk prevention areas include hazardous materials exposure, accidents, fires, or other unsafe conditions. Generate project specific HSE plans, Meet compliance and reporting requirements of national regulations. Ensure that customers HSE requirements are fulfilled and appropriate, Advise management on problem correction. Have authority to sign to make expenditures/payables within pre-defined budget and written procedures. Lead Department KPI and recruits, develop, appraise and retain staff. He may also travel to construction sites to conduct safety audits. This may include checking for appropriate safety clothing or gear, as well as enforcing the display of safety signage. Construction safety managers may begin a new project by researching a construction site. During this process, managers review blueprints, ventilation systems and lighting. Additionally, these professionals may analyze the materials to be used on site in order to design proper signage and disposal methods. Once research is complete, managers may map out emergency evacuation plans, including locations for fire extinguishers and first-aid kits. Managers may also consult building codes, government regulations and other emergency response agencies in order to ensure that the workplace is compliant with health, safety and environmental regulations. Upon completion, managers may be responsible for presenting and explaining plans, as well as conducting training programs.
Qualifications 1. NEBOSH International Diploma. 2. NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Heath Administration. 3. NEBOSH Environment Management Certificate. 4. ISO 14001 Lead Auditor. 5. ISO 18001 Lead Auditor. 6. OSHA General Industry & OSHA Construction Certified.
