Description —Prepares and reviews departmental workload statistics. —advises the Purchasing Manager regarding the proper allocation of commodity assignments to buyers. —Ensuring compliance to all procurement policies and procedures as appropriate thus ensuring an efficient and auditable procurement trail. —To provide efficient and cost effective Procurement support, providing timely value added solutions to Procurement opportunities to meet the requirements of the Project or Proposal within the allocated budget allowances. —Preparation of commercial offers. —Manage negotiations and clarifications with potential suppliers. —Preparation of purchase orders. —Negotiation and implementation of PO variations/changes. —Close out of orders including invoice issues. —Updating and maintenance of reporting systems. — Identification of potential competitive sources —Maintains data and prepares reports using office automation software. —Achieve the cost reduction target.
Qualifications •Solid experience of purchasing practices and procedures of heavy industries. •Effective communication skills. •Effective order and report writing. •Excellent command of MS Office package. •Effective Document Management. •Good Knowledge in using ERP Systems (SAP). •Knowledge and understanding of Conditions of Contracts. •Effective application of the Business Operating Procedures. •Ability to negotiate effectively with Suppliers. •Knowledge and appreciation of company economics. •Ability to contribute within a multi discipline team environment.
