Description -To monitor and oversee chemists in the QC laboratory ensuring that the work practices conform to Sigma standards. -To ensure that all equipment (lab equipment, Scales in the lab, factory and RM warehouse are checked, clean, calibrated, approved and accurate at all times. -Investigate, document and report when a product fails to comply with Sigma standards. -Instruct, monitor, and periodically audit ISIPAC during the filling process to check that the instructions of product quantity per packing material are being adhered to. -To create, update and ensure all QC results (samples, QC cards and applications) are filed and stored in an organized and well-maintained manner. -Report to the SUPPLY CHAIN when a product is out of specification, to enquire to actions necessary for rectification. -Prepare a monthly report to the Production Supervisor of the non-conformity of any QC tests. -To monitor and approve the colour matching for all finished goods. -To monitor and control all finished goods and quarantine those products that have expired or do not conform to Sigma standards. -To follow all samples (excess from production & lab made) and ensure that they are used in a manner that complies with Sigma Standards. -To ensure that the QC lab is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion at all times. -Any other duties deemed necessary by the immediate Manager or GM. -Accountable for the quality of all finished goods, ensuring that they confirm strictly with the global standards imposed by PPG globally.
Qualifications 7 – 10 years experience in QC paint field specially in industrial paints products (RM & FG) -can be used ERP systems -Able to work under pressure while still achieving targets and work load expectations. -should possess good organizational skills. -adhere to company policies and be firm but fair with those who are under his supervision -A well organized, individual with a pleasant and co-operative personality
