Description 1. To ensure the security of buildings and their contents, site are maintained and the safety of staff, students and authorized visitors is realized. 2. To be the first point of contact when any problem or incident occurs, liaising with the emergency services when necessary 3. Take responsibility for the work of Security Assistants on the various remote sites to ensure continuity within the team and the section as a whole. 4. Take an overview of the day to day work ensuring that Operations are maintained and staff have the resources necessary to perform their jobs 5. Plan to perform routine tasks and duties, allowing for flexibility to attend unscheduled incidents reported by others. This will result in reorganizing and reprioritizing the routine tasks 6. Prepare team briefings and deploy staff according to operational requirements 7. Be able to take prompt and well-informed first line decisions 8. Decide when to involve managerial staff or agencies for assistance in order to return the situation to normal. 9. Take appropriate measures to secure property utilizing resources at their disposal as efficiently and effectively as possible. 10. Be able to identify recurrent issues/problems, with the aim of increasing safety and security, and preventing further crime and disruptions. 11. Prioritizing multiple concurrent requests for service. 12. Advise and assist with the problem solving for other members of the team.
Qualifications • Good communicators, both verbally and in writing, ideally with experience of dealing with the general public. • Leadership • Able to remain calm under pressure especially when dealing with difficult situations. • Experience in a supervisory role in a similar security-based environment. • Goo computer skills (Office, Internet). • Able to work independently and as part of a team
