Description Objective & Deliverables: The illustrator / graphic designer will develop visual and engaging marketing collateral built around illustrations for the institutions portfolio of products. The materials must achieve the following objectives: Build awareness and understanding of multiple credit products, including the product names, benefits and eligibility Build awareness and understanding of new microinsurance product as a value-added benefit ◦Ensure understanding of how the microinsurance product works, and how to initiate a claim ◦Build trust around the microinsurance product and motivate clients to avail the product in time of a covered event. The illustrator / graphic designer will be responsible for designing the items listed below. A detailed communications brief will be provided, which will provide all relevant information needed to produce the marketing collateral. The illustrator / graphic designer will not be responsible for printing the materials. 3 posters to be displayed in branches ◦2 product-specific posters, one multi-product poster 3 brochures ◦2 product-specific brochures; one multi-product brochure. Assume all brochures are tri-fold (6 panels). Potential additional collateral
Qualifications •Strong creative and drawing skills •Experience creating designs targeted to low-income people, particularly those who may not be able to read, and therefore may rely on images to understand a message •Experience developing collateral for consumer goods, financial services and/or insurance products •Strong understanding of and ability to incorporate relevant Egyptian cultural nuances into marketing collateral •Commitment to working with Project Team to produce high-impact marketing collateral on time and within budget •Comfort working remotely, i.e. by email, phone and Skype

Other Skills The illustrator / graphic designer should be based in the Middle East and be able to regularly remotely collaborate with team members in New York and Egypt. No travel is required.

About the Project: Women’s World Banking is working with a microfinance institution in Egypt to develop marketing materials for financial products. The products are designed for low-income women and men, many of whom are new to microfinance and/or may be unable to read. Illustrations are therefore an essential component effectively communicating the product benefits and use to this audience.
