Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing with dotted lines to Director of Sales, the primary responsibility of this role is to proactively create and convert revenue opportunities for Semiramis InterContinental Cairo from qualified Destination Management companies by planning and executing sales activities based on strategies and financial targets outlined in the Hotels annual Integrated Business Plan (IBP). The ideal candidate should be able to progress into an "In The Know" product specialist for the hotel and to grow into a "Egypt Destination expert" for accommodation, Meetings, Incentives, Congress, Exhibitions by acquiring knowledge about the Hotels competitive sets, the STR performance of the Hotel as well as its competitive sets, maintain active communication with the customer across all available channels, monitor and track financial performance of (own) account portfolio through monthly SSP data management and quarterly "Business Review" with DOSM. The position involves lots of leadership skills as leading the Sales team, and coordinating with other department heads in order to achieve targeted revenues and guests’ satisfaction.
Qualifications • Previous experience in 5* luxury hotel/event in a similar role • Degree from a hotel school or bachelors degree in business administration/tourism from a comparable educational institution • High level of passion, enthusiasm and drive for results • Excellent communication skills across all mediums - presentation, telephone, correspondence, face to face etc. in English • Master a second language (German or French) is an advantage • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and foster beneficial relationships • Ambitious and eager to learn and grow • Strong leadership skills.
