Description Analyze price proposals, offers and other data and information to determine Best Offers. Responsible for the prequalification and registration of new suppliers Perform suppliers performance evaluation on periodic basis Maintain and review computerized records of purchased items , cost , delivery and product performance Examine purchase orders and review the purchasing requisitions for goods and services. Monitor shipments to ensure the on time arrival of shipments at company warehouses. Coordinate with customs brokers the customs clearance processes and expedite shipments Survey the market to identify potential suppliers Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations. Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts. Oversees the training and development of foreign purchasing team members to develop their skills and maintain their knowledge in their area of responsibility. Conducts annual performance appraisal to review employees work performance. Carries out disciplinary meetings when needed. Recommends salary adjustments, rewards and promotions based on employee performance. Drives annual productivity improvements by ensuring that cost reduction opportunities are identified, budgeted, implemented and realized.
Qualifications University Degree or equivalent work experience. Approximately 10 - 15 years of related experience. Team Leader Communication and negotiation skills. Monthly report about the purchased items and comparison with the budget Preferably industrial knowledge Monthly report about any deviation / variances in the regular items
