Description - Determine existing and available datasets within the company that are valuable to data analysis
- Collect data required to extract actionable insights
- Develop new tools and metrics for key decision making regarding the expansion and utilization of a POS Network
- Develop robust and scalable code and applications for internal purposes to analyze complex temporal and geospatial data sets.
- Do research and build actionable visualizations/reports that drive decisions
Qualifications - BScs degree, (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math) - Experience in advanced numerical methods in data analysis working with large data sets - Experience with tools required to extract, transform, visualize data and BI solutions - Experience with Big Data framework Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka - Working Knowledge of Python, R, Java, SQL and Excel, and ability to develop the required applications under different system architectures - Fundamental understanding of Statistics hypothesis testing (t-test, p-values), confidence intervals, regression, classification, and optimization. - Strong algorithmic problem-solving skills, and ability to solve complex problems with incomplete data - Demonstrated analytical ability, problem deconstruction, statistical competency, meticulous forensic analysis skills, data validation, and scientific rigor
