Description - Review designs and/or engineering plans, specifications and contract documents to ensure compliance with government codes, laws and regulations.
- Coordinate the architectural designs, drawings, and specifications for new and revised designs.
- Perform quantity check surveying works and materials take-off to ensure the accuracy of quantities in the Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
- Advice the customer service and site supervision team on the interpretation of design, recommend changes when necessary.
- Review preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications and cost estimates related to the project.
- Review consultants drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and contract agreements by checking them for technical accuracy according to the project accepted guidelines.
- Prepare and coordinate project work drawings accurately with quality standard
- Prepare project paperwork & update it regularly by coordinating with project managers to solve any technical issues that arise
- Implement corrective actions as per the Technical Office Section Heads instructions to avoid technical conflicts that may arise during project progress
- Provide and gather all the required technical documents such as drawings, manuals, and instructions for the construction team.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports & minutes of meetings
- Repair and review working drawings/tender documents for projects & its facilities.
- Study the project contract documents (time schedule, project design drawings, BOQ, etc.).
- Study and reply to "requests for information (RFIs)� for all missing, unclear conflicting or other technical matters that may arise during construction.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise; through reviewing the tender DWGs & coordinate with all departments & consultants.
Qualifications - Bachelor degree in Architectural engineering. - 4-8 years of experience as a technical engineer. - Excellent presentation skills - Excellent English language. - Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. - Awareness of general engineering specifications. - Creative designer; capable of providing concept designs. - Work under pressure and coordinate with other project trades. - Excellent Organizational and leadership skills. - LEED GA is preferred. - Microsoft Office. - Revit / BIM. - Adobe Photoshop. - 3D MAX.
