Job Description:
• To be part of growing Tendering & Proposal Team, to prepare Commercial and Technical proposals.
• Manage associated cost preparation responsibilities.
• Obtain factored / sub supplier costs where necessary.
• Prepare technical & commercial proposals.
• Attend clarification meetings with Client when required.
• Ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.
• Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order.
• Participate in and actively support company initiatives.
• Be familiar with the general specifications and market requirements.
• Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices, and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
• Review and confirm code basis for each project
• Collaborate with other project team members to comply with project requirements and meet project
• schedules
• Review and approve fabricator and external design drawings, documentation, and fabrication sequence
• Generate instrumentation specifications
• PLC control panel specification/design
• Skid electrical and instrument installation specification/design
• Production of designs for integration of UOP and customer control systems that meet project
• requirements
• Monitor status and ensure delivery of project deliverables within budgeted cost and schedule
• Control system Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
• Detail hardware required for plant control systems including PLC hardware, Delta V hardware, and Honeywell controls
• Develop the scope of work using P&ID's, specifications, and project requirements to specify and complete
• instrument and control systems
• Adhere to plant and electrical design standards
• Preparing and agreeing project budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and managers
• Undertaking relevant research
• Producing and implementing designs
• Creating test procedures
• Testing, evaluating, modifying, and calibrating products and instruments
• Writing reports and documentation
• Analyzing and interpreting data
• Providing technical support.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum (2 – 4) active years of experience in electrical engineering within the refining/petrochemicals/gas industry
• Minimum of (2 – 4) years of solid experience in the specification and design of instrumentation and control systems
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
• Ability to work effectively with team members of all disciplines
• Abroad knowledge in Instrument and Controls Engineering practices and procedures
• Experience with PLC or DCS control systems
• Experience in basic programming
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
• Experience in or working knowledge of control theory
• Ability to travel up to 25% annually.
• Fluent in the English language.
• Knowledge and experience in international designs and standards is a plus
