Description Assessment of insurance applications according to the company underwriting standards. Input underwriting requirements and recommendation to the company system within agreed timeframes. Follow UW procedures & Re-insurer guidelines in calculating the exposed risks. Liaise with customers & sales force when necessary to obtain additional/missing information and manage the pending case load in a timely manner. Request appropriate medical evidences within agreed limits and refer to Underwriting Team Manager when necessary. Liaise with reinsures when necessary. Liaise with Alterations and Claims departments when required to assist with underwriting requirements. Take responsibility for own personal development ensuring the understanding of all products and features is good, including the claims and alterations processes in relation to underwriting requirements. Conduct underwriting and procedures training under the direction of Underwriting Manager. Maintain good relationships with contact persons in the medical providers. Conduct calls to customers required more medical evidences or check-ups and follow-up on pending business in terms of medical evidences required. Interact with New Business, Retail channel and Distribution administration to better control pending medical evidences.
Qualifications Bachelor degree preferably in Medical Sciences/ Pharmacy Highly qualified office user (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
