Description Manage the plant personal protective equipment (PPE), work clothing, good housekeeping practices and safety equipment programs according to company standards and operating budget Develop and administers effective occupational health, safety industrial hygiene programs, including health services functions and maintenance of related policy and procedure manuals. Determine appropriate safety equipment and safe work practices to be employed on specific jobs based on OSHA and corporate standards and implements accordingly through plant management. Provide assistance to supervisors regarding the evaluation of safety problems and of employee safety recommendations and complaints to determine acceptable corrective measures accordingly. Assist with departments and reviews all manufacturing and support operations to assure ongoing of safety and implementation of OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001. Write technical papers and reports; and prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests. Study effects of various methods of processing, preserving, and packaging on composition and properties of foods. Handle laboratory equipment and supplies safely and effectively. Coordinate prioritize and plan lab tasks to meet deadlines. Ensure final product meets quality and customer specifications. Maintain sufficient stock of chemicals and supplies to perform lab experiments. Ensure that materials are labeled properly and used in right quantities. . Suggest improvements for test procedures to achieve project objectives. Develop standard procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
Qualifications A Bachelor of Science 3: 5 years experience Problem solving abilities Methodical and analytical skills Ability to work under pressure Good attention to details Good competent knowledge about safety regulations
