Description The position is for a Teaching Assistant with responsibility for teaching undergraduate Chemistry lab courses, assisting faculty with grading, evaluation, and interactive instruction through office hours and tutorial sessions. University of Science and Technology at Zewail City is establishing a rigorous curriculum in Science and Engineering with Chemistry courses at the core of several degree programs. Candidates are encouraged to apply for full time status which will require approximately 40 contact hours with students per week, including labs, tutorials, preparations and office hours.
Qualifications Candidates should have a • M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Science , Pharmacy, or related fields with a strong Chemistry component and have a strong academic record (Overall grade: Very Good with honors, at least). They should be effective at communication with students in English and in Arabic. Candidates should be capable of learning and applying new technologies in the classroom. Experience with laboratory teaching at the college level (Preferably, with 2-5 years of previous experience with teaching in a credited system), and Chemistry-related research experience involving the use of and maintenance of instrumentation is preferred.
