Plan teaching to achieve progression in pupils’ learning. • To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils • Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling. • To organise and manage groups or individual pupils ensuring differentiation of learning needs, reflecting all abilities. • Maintains constant supervision of children at all times including snack time. • To be part of a whole school team, actively involved in decision-making on the preparation and development of policies and programmes of study, teaching materials, resources and methods of teaching. • To ensure that school policies are reflected in daily practice. • To communicate with parents over all aspects of their children’s education – academic, social and behavioural by discussing the students’ progress and interpret the school program. • To meet with parents to contribute positively to the education of the children concerned. • To support the Supervisor in promoting the capabilities of the department. • To promote the welfare of children and to support the school in safeguarding children though relevant policies and procedures. • To promote equality as an integral part of the role and to treat every student with fairness and dignity. • Selects books and instructional aids; maintains required inventory records. • Supervises students in and out-of-classroom activities during the school day; breaks and dismissal time. • Participates in curriculum development programs as required. • Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. • Evaluates students’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports. • Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in a relevant area. - Previous experience in teaching.
