Major accountabilities: • Develops and drives the clinical education for disease area, including the roll-out plans developed by the clinical education specialist and medical science specialist ‒ Supports investigator-initiated research studies aligned with the global clinical development plan and medical affairs studies ‒ Designs, initiates, conducts and publishes local phase IV/PMS studies in the CPO to help facilitate market access and adoption within country ‒ Supports local feasibility and planning of global clinical trials (any phase) ‒ Manages the successful implementation of the NVS AHF Registry in the CPO ‒ Raises awareness of disease area through the publication of abstracts, manuscripts, presentations and training, according to Pharma Principles & Practices (NP4) and local regulations ‒ Improves understanding and treatment of disease area through education programs according to NP4 and local guidelines • Builds partnerships with external hospital clinical stakeholders and organizations to improve care pathways for patients Consideration as best practice and where appropriate identifying guidelines to ensure consistent best practice • Plans, drives and supports the work of the Medical Science Liaisons, Clinical Education Specialists and/or Hospital Medical Specialists • Works with other members of the cross-functional team to identify current standard practice and care pathways for disease area patients • Trains the cross-functional team in disease management and product clinical data • Drives and delivers medical understanding and support and medical input to the cross-functional team
Qualifications Ideal background: Education: MD (required) Language: English, Arabic Experience: • Clinical healthcare experience in the therapy area environment • Experience working on guideline development/guideline changes • 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical medicine role • Exposure to pre-launch or launch or new indication medical planning
