This job should perform the following activities with high-level sync-up and cooperation with all other departments within ITIDA (especially marketing team) in order to achieve all objectives stated above: Formulate ITIDA communication strategy and prepare the annual media business plan, and present it to the Executive Committee for review and approval. Manage the relations and communications with media agencies and reporters/journalists, and keep them abreast about the important activities, initiatives, programs, and conferences conducted by ITIDA. Ensure proper, effective, and fair coverage of ITIDA’s achievements and impact on the Information and Communications Technology Sector. Prepare all materials, collaterals, content required for communication with the media, in coordination with concerned departments, as well as required responses/comments on the various articles touching upon ITIDA’s activities and performance Keep updated about ITIDA top management plans, and ensure that news about activities, initiatives, programs, and achievements are published in the various media means in a timely manner. Coordinate with all ITIDA departments to ensure appropriate media coverage of their plans, activities, and achievements, while ensuring appropriate approvals on the content are obtained from the concerned owners. Manage the organization of ITIDA’s top management press conferences. Mass communication, journalism, public relations, and/or business administration university degree, or equivalent Professional media and PR experience.
Qualifications Not less than 10 years of experience in similar managerial position. Outstanding communication and negotiations skills. Outstanding problem solving skills and making decision skills. Proven track record in following: o Success in a similar job within the Egyptian market o Success in creating a network that can increase the organization’s reach beyond the classical IT reporter’s community.
