Manage the sales activities for a new niche print and online publication. Responsible for maximizing client revenue opportunities with on-going sales management activities to generate advertising revenues in both publishing and online formats, ensuring all bookings are followed up and recorded accurately Work with management to identify opportunities for growth and new business and devise sales strategies to ensure effective planning and fulfil monthly and annual sales projections. Develop management approved daily, weekly and monthly targets and activities to fulfil sales projections for the magazine and the website. Develop sales kit for approaching prospective advertising clients - PowerPoint sales presentation, email sales letter etc. Develop database of client prospects confirming contact details for the appropriate decision maker to whom contact will be initiated Proactive sales prospecting and lead generation, making contact with designated prospects by telephone and email and setting up meetings Develop clear, effective and convincing written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers to close as many deals as possible. Coordinate with relevant staff to execute client advertising bookings ensuring timely submission of materials by the client and uploading by production team. Establish, develop and maintain positive business relationships with current customers Keep track of assigned prospects, customers and sales activities using the designated templates and procedures reflecting the potential value of sales and the likelihood of conversion. Supply management on a daily basis with oral and written reports on individual progress with booked and projected revenue, business prospects, customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new business. Participate in trade shows and company PR events. Keep abreast of competitors in terms of coverage and media pricing.
