Ultimately responsible for the final magazine, supplements, reports and website output by leading the editorial team with a strategic focus and directing the production of high quality engaging content. Plan structure of magazine and website in conjunction with management, prepare Content Plan and oversee editorial and production schedule maintaining the timely flow of content for the magazine and website Generate ideas for features and articles with writing staff and assign accordingly with brief including deadlines, word count, writing style etc. Ensure all components of the magazine and website work plan and strategy are being met within the specified timeframe. Develop and maintain department budget recording and monitoring all costs associated with producing the magazine and website each month. As per the agreed Content Plan contribute editorial pieces (interviews, feature articles, special reports etc) and research the market gathering relevant data and sources to ensure the unique edge of the magazine and editorial content. Ensure the final draft is complete and there are no omissions by reviewing and proofreading all content with a fine-tooth comb to pick out any spelling, grammatical or stylistic errors, conduct fact-checking as required, return articles to writer for revision or edit and re-write as required. In association with management, build and maintain an Editorial Manual to set the tone and editorial direction and unify the magazine’s writing style and ensure the publication and website has a consistent, manageable and visually appealing look.
Qualifications Bachelors Degree, 3- 5 years in a similar role. Project and team management, editorial planning, writing, editing, detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
