Description - Handling all Service Requests related to Linux servers performance and Security according to IT SLA - Perform extensive troubleshooting on the above mentioned services as well as providing clear and descriptive resolution for the users. Proactive support: - Handle and maintain Linux servers health that may include: Processing issues, LAN or WAN problems & Security VPN - Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure - Participate in projects to design and implement new technology solutions, meet specific business needs, solve problems - Provision and maintain servers, network equipment, storage devices, and other related infrastructure components. - Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues related to application use, design and configuration. - Assist with implementation testing and projects. - Assist with projects to roll-out enhanced or new functionality Reporting The below reports are produced on regular basis, its improvement is a key responsibility for the engineer to ensure best analysis for workloads according to service and engineer; as well as tracking the teams position from the KPI. - Service Availability SLAs compliance. - Statistical analysis. (Effort analysis, Quality analysis and utilization reports) Install and configure Linux based scientific software packages

Qualifications o Preferred Engineering /Computer Science background. o 3-5 Years Experience o Experience with most aspects of the Linux operating system: paging/swapping, inter-process communication, devices and device driver fundamentals, file system concepts like inode and superblock. o Must know : Virtualization / SAN and NAS/ Systems management basics o Must know : Distributed computing o MySQL Server is a plus o Cloud computing knowledge is a plus o CCNA/CCNP is a Plus o Experience with at least one of other linux systems (SuSE, HP/UX, AIX, etc) is a plus o Ability to write detailed scripts in at least one, preferably two administrative languages, (shell scripts, Perl, Tk). ITIL Foundation background is a plus. CCNA in other areas is a plus CCNP in other areas is a plus
