Description Responsible for providing agronomy related advice and promoting the sale of products and services, provide expertise during all stages of crop and production period. Build credibility with suppliers and participate in the development of comprehensive solutions for products.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain advanced knowledge of products and services
- Generate new business opportunities by initiating agronomy calls and building relationships with existing and future suppliers
- Complete on site field inspections, draw soil samples for analyses as necessary and identify agronomic solutions and recommendations
- Advise suppliers on agronomy related matters such as fertilizer usage, crop rotation practices, cultivation methods, and seed recommendation while promoting the sale of products and services
- Provides leadership across the organization for agronomic knowledge.
- Promotes understanding across the organization of the latest production practices and their overall agronomic impact, including crop production systems, regulations, production data .
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent (Masters degree will be considered a plus). - Minimum 3-5 years experience in an agriculture-related role
