Description —This role will support Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Algeria Sites —Lead relationships with critical suppliers providing secure and cost effective sources for relevant commodities. —Implement initiatives and programs to improve quality of bought-in goods and services and reduce lead times. —Seeking to raise levels of performance by establishing an improvement process, or setting specific, measurable targets and goals linked to GSK business needs. —Develop supply strategies to provide assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, cost and innovation. —The primary deliverable is to achieve 3-5% savings on secondary packaging purchases on the region —Achieve region plan targets by ensuring on time implementation of all the required projects. —Ensure all customer requirements are being met in a timely and efficient manner. —Create, establish and maintain optimum supplier relationships to meet business targets. —Achieve lowest sustainable cost of goods and services. —Ensure supplier compliance with GSK safety, health and environmental requirements and other requirements. —Work across region with other Shared Service satellites/hubs to develop common ways of working and strategies to deliver customer satisfaction.
Qualifications Basic qualifications: •Min 5 years of Relevant procurement experience in Plastics & Paper packaging •Technical understanding of supply base manufacturing processes •Close business relationships forged with typical supplier network. •Understanding of region business processes and purchasing system requirements. •Forming win-win partnerships with others. •Taking an initiatives (a clearly interconnected set of activities) designed to raise the ‘value added’ to customers. •Excellent verbal and written English, French language is a plus Preferred qualifications: •Knowledge of relevant local and regional supply markets.
