Description 1. Responsible for handling the internal staff requisitions
2. In charge of issuing the related purchase orders in local and foreign markets as per the company procurement cycle.
3. Analyze the offers of the suppliers in order to select the most suitable supplier who is able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing.
4. Follow the purchase orders until delivery and ensure payment is concluded accordingly.
5. Review and verify commercial set of documents before the submission to the finance department.
6. Update the purchasing follow-up reports on a periodic basis.
7. Follow the budget of purchasing for all departments and control the expenses.
8. Evaluate the internal suppliers list on semi- annual basis.
9. Follow the submission of the subcontractors prevention plan.
10. Coordinate and ensure that our suppliers are meeting our plan for quality improvement.
11. Liaise with the suppliers on the delivery schedule to ensure on-time deliveries of final product.
12. Ensure the company Health and Safety regulations will be implemented throughout any activity conducted by the suppliers on site.
13. Report on any workplace hazards, unsafe acts or conditions to the subject supervisor.
14. Report all incidents to the subject supervisor in a timely manner, no matter how minor.
15. Wear personal protective equipment, as required and as instructed, and use machinery, equipment, and materials only as authorized and trained.
16. Participate whenever possible in defining safe work practice as per our Health and Safety policy.
17. Apply the authority of stop the work
on site if the work surrounding is unsafe.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications Experience in procurement or operation function. Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments Good understanding of water and wastewater treatment industry is preferable. Good background in mechanical/electrical maintenance. Strong and effective leadership and interpersonal skills. Very good negotiation skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of SAP system.
