Description 1.Develop, document, implement, and maintain a proper internal audit system across all ZC Departments.
2. Drive the development and execute against risk-based audit plans that clearly define the objective and scope of each review,
3. Manage and evaluate the risk profile of the city
4. Ensure that Departments Audit activities are held quarterly and its objectives are met.
5. Annually develop the Audit Plan; this plan should include Audit objectives and budget.
6. Ensure compliance with local authority requirements for all related matters.
7. Strong experience in auditing safety departments including labs and chemicals.
8. Keep the Executive President updated in all Audit matters and provide him with the approved internal audit report.
9. Ensure through internal audits and technical inspections that all ZC departments/Centers are following the safety process in compliance with the established requirements.
10. Review the annual financial statements, consider whether they are complete, consistent with information known to the executive president, and reflect appropriate accounting principles.
11. Approve the annual audit plan and all major changes to the plan. Review the internal audit activitys performance related to its plan.
12. Review with the executive president the internal audit budget, resource plan, activities, and organizational structure of the internal audit function.
13. Review the effectiveness of the internal audit function, including conformance with The Institute of Internal Auditors the Definition of Internal Auditing, Code of Ethics, and the International Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
14. On a regular basis, meet separately with the external auditors.
15. Review the effectiveness of the departments, centers system for monitoring compliance with approved policies and regulations, and the results of managements investigation and follow-up (including disciplinary action) of any instances of noncompliance.
Qualifications 1. Minimum of 15 years of experience in same filed 2. Previous strong experience in Risk Management 3. Previous strong experience in auditing safety policies and procedures with chemicals and labs background. 4. Ability to quickly assimilate relevant information in unfamiliar situations 5. Excellent listening, verbal, written and presentation communication skills 6. Sound judgment and ability to act independently.
